About Virtual Gym

Virtual Gym is an online workout platform that allows users to interact and attend workout sessions. The aim was to provide an online platform for users to work on their fitness goals without the need to go to an actual gym during the pandemic.

Challenges

Virtual Gym faced the challenge of building a unique SaaS platform from the ground up, as no similar solutions existed in the market. This required in-depth user interviews, creating a robust design system, defining user flows and information architecture, and designing both the product and a marketing website for effective advertising.

Solutions

CodeTheorem crafted Virtual Gym’s UX from scratch, incorporating insights from user interviews and establishing a scalable design system. We developed user flows, intuitive information architecture, and a sleek SaaS product alongside a marketing website for ad campaigns. Using React and Node.js, we built and iterated the platform based on user feedback.

Process/Approach

Initial idea brainstorming

Our foremost step in the UX design process was identifying the problem the app is trying to address and validating the initial concepts for the product design. We conducted market research and competitive analysis to create design solutions to resolve user problems with a data-driven approach that will help in framing a user-centric design.

One-on-one UX Design Workshop

We conducted a UX design workshop to understand the client’s vision and implement our expertise to dish out a feasible design solution. In this stage, identifying user goals and needs, we drafted a user flow showcasing what steps will the user go through from the first interaction to the end.

Product Wireframes

In the third step, with a clear idea of user flow, we prepared wireframes for both the mobile and the web application to visualize the interface and user experience. The wireframes briefed the clients on how their product concept would be performing in the real world.

Responsive Visual design

We created an eye-catching interface design for the product following the wireframes as a base layout. A seamless user experience across platforms was achieved through uniform UI elements, which included iconography, images, rich brand elements, and graphics.
